The Equinox to Solstice Challenge
The Illinois River Valley Outdoor Alliance (IRVOA) is partnering with nature-loving companies and organizations to encourage, incentivize and guide folks of all ages and abilities to play outside in the Illinois River Valley.
Our inaugural Equinox to Solstice Challenge was wildly successful, with 300+ participants, countless beautiful photos and outdoor adventures, and memories together that will last a lifetime. If there was one complaint we heard about our first challenge, it was the simple fact that "it wasn't long enough."
Let’s do something about that…
We love to play outside year-round, and it sounds like many of you do, as well. So we're offering an extensive challenge that encompasses several mini challenges, some of which are ongoing and others we will produce and/or cohost with some of our closest friends in the great River Valley outdoor community.
Details on each challenge will be announced individually via our website (see below) and social media, so follow along!

In the meantime, please spread the word and come play outdoors in the gorgeous Illinois River Valley...for your mental health, your physical health, your spiritual health, and for the best fun you can have outside the walls (and screens) of daily life.
If you wait until the weather is "perfect" to get outside, you will be older every time you do. Join us in grounding yourself with the earth, reconnecting with the skies and stars above, and making memories in the great outdoors of the Illinois River Valley.
